Donna Veloso, RPA-C Registered and Board Certified Physician Assistant

Donna Veloso has more than 15 years of experience practicing in Orthopedic Surgery in private and hospital settings. She received a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology, Pre-Med and a Minor in Chemistry from Wagner College, in Staten Island, New York, in 1993. She later received a Certificate of Physician Assistants from Bayley Seton Hospital, Staten Island, in New York, in 1995.
After graduation, Donna worked for several top Orthopedic Surgeons at St. Vincent’s Hospital, in New York. Her duties included the evaluation and treatment of trauma and elective orthopedic patients as well as assisting medical and PA students completing their clinical rotations.
Donna moved to South Florida in 1997, joining a private hospital-based general orthopedic group, where she gained vast experience in general and sports medicine as both an office-based clinician and a First Assistant in the operating room. She continued to expand her clinical knowledge by becoming a First Assistant Surgical PA in General Surgery, including OB-GYN. However, her passion for orthopedics beckoned her back to a full Orthopedics sub-specialty, where she flourished in both the OR and office settings.
Coming to crossroads with the knowledge of surgery and beliefs of alternative medicine, she came across Dr. Patrick Barry and his Manipulation of the Patella procedure. Curious about the results, she found herself in a new and innovative form of alternative orthopedic treatment, which led her to join our staff.
